Guardian Waterproofing, Inc. began its journey as Guardian Waterproofing & Caulking in 2004. A father and son team decided to start a business based off of thier experience and belief in quality and hard work.
Co-Founders Elyjah "Ely" Leeyer, and father Dan worked hard to establish a well rounded company, starting simply out of a home office and growing to a be one of the top 5 weatherproofing companies in San Diego with dedicated and established employees.
"We started our company in 2004. My father, Dan and I have been working long and hard to get where we are today. We are a company that is focused on quality. We may not be the least expensive company in San Diego County, but quality comes first to us. Our prices are very competitive and we use the highest grade material available.
I have been researching waterproofing systems for almost 10 years and am very conscientious of staying up to date with new products. I am very knowledgeable about the products and the application processes that we utilize. I receive a lot of support from both our manufacturers and suppliers that we use. We have received a trophy from Tremco "2006 Best New Applicator". Our installers have been certified by the manufacturer for several products. We are constantly learning about new systems and products. Our employees attend training seminars and sessions to learn new techniques and systems throughout the year.
I have been installing for 10 years and manage the office side now. I am extremelly proud of the employees we have here at Guardian. Our company has been growing very rapidly and along the way we have assembled a great team that works hard and forms a strong foundation for our company.
Our focus is to ensure that we have satisfied clients who will continue to use us for all their waterproofing and caulking needs.

Ely Leeyer was born in San Diego as the first born to Daniel and Victoria Leeyer. He was followed by his sisters, Jezly, and Kaely and then his brother Everett. He married his love Laurie on July 4, 2004. At 29 years of age, he was tragically taken from this world by a lost soul while he was at home with his wife. Ely gave his Life for his Love, and he will forever be a True Hero. He now walks with one of his best friends, his grandfather Bill Hansen in Heaven. Ely was well known around all of San Diego. He grew up in the back country of Jamul riding dirt bikes, racing cars and playing sports. He was highly respected by all his friends always making them smile and laugh with his many playful antics. He was President and Co-Founder of Guardian Waterproofing, Inc, the family business. He was a truly treasured piece of Guardian. Ely treated all employees like family. He had a passion in his work that others could only dream of. Ely was elected on the Board of Air Barrier Association of America and was invited to speak on green technology in Washington, D.C, Chicago and Houston. He had over 5,000 contacts on his cell phone. Ely left a Big Footprint for his family and friends to follow and will be surely missed by many.
